Hey there, friends! I’m Madeline, the mind & hands behind Madeline Mae Co., where creativity comes to life one stitch at a time.

For as long as I can remember I have always been crafty and had a love for art, crafts, and creating. In 2011, at 11 years old I was in a children’s home. I lived there for about 2 years. It was a very hard and difficult part of my life but if I would have never been in states custody, I probably wouldn’t be who or where I am today. I learned how to crochet while in the children’s home. It started as making blankets, it was something that brought my mind comfort and peace.

Fast forward to 2020, I was in a car wreck that left me injured and unable to work my delivery job. I decided to pick up crocheting again during that time and accepted custom orders from friends and internet friends on Facebook to keep income coming in. I would make blankets and this is when I first started making amigurumi too. Those custom orders quickly turned into beginning to design my own pieces and writing my own patterns.

I’m 27 currently, as I’m typing this (2025) and I have two children, and I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with them and also work full time as a crochet designer. Five years ago I started Madeline Mae Co. and I never thought I’d be where I am now, and I’m very excited to see what the future holds for my business. I truly enjoy creating fun, cute, and seasonal crochet patterns. My idea list is always miles long, like seriously- my brain never really shuts off. I’m always thinking of new things to create.
